£l7 For Patriotic Funds From Golf
An open day, the proceeds of which were for Patriotic funds, was held on the Mt. Denby links by the Whangarei Ladies’ Golf Club on Tuesday. As a result of the day, £l7 was collected for the funds. Winners of the morning medal round were Mrs L. R. Nelson (Whangarei) in the senior division with a score of 97-19, 78, and in the junior division, Mrs O. Georgeson (Whau Valley), with a score of 95-23. 72, Mrs W. A. Christiansen (Whangarei) won the afternoon Stableford in the seniors with 30 joints, and in the juniors, Mrs Cornish (Whau Valley) with 34 points.
