Blanket, Suit Shortages Likely

Woollen yarn will not be available in future for civilian needs, tne Minister for Supply and Munitions (Senator Mcßride) said today. All yarn produced will be needed to clothe troops. . , . The Minister said this would not me§n a shortage of stocks for civilian suitings for 12 months, as stocks held by manufacturers. distributors and retailers would not be interfered with. Senator Mcßride added that a shortage* of civilian supplies of blankets mutt occur soon, for henceforth every blanket manufactured would be taken by ‘the Defence Department, but presents stocks'would not be requisitioned.
