Luck Of, Lot Is Fickle To Sayegh
[Special to “Northern Advocate”] AUCKLAND, This Day. When his name was drawn from a hat this morning Mr. Joseph Sayegh became chairman of the Auckland Transport Board for the ensuing term. Voting was on party lines and the retiring chairman (Mr. J. Nagle) and Mr. Sayegh, Labour member, received equal votes. The names were then placed in' a hat.’ Two years ago the same names were drawn from the hat and Mr. Nagle was selected.
