Hess Now Adopts Truculent Attitude
LONDON, May 25. The Foreign Office expert (Colonel I. A. Kirkpatrick), who has been interviewing Rudolf Hess, has returned to London. He will make a comprehensive report for transmission to the Government. Hess is now reported to be adopting a truculent attitude, insisting on treatment in accordance with his high position in the Nazi Government, says the “Daily Telegraph.” He is demanding special food and comforts, saying he has plenty of money. The truculence is probably due to a general realisation by Hess that he is being treated sti'ictly as a military prisoner.
