Patriotic Appeal
Hikurangi’s quota of £l4O towards the all-purposes appeal has been greatly exceeded, the sum of £456/9/7 having been raised by various patriotic bodies operating in conjunction with the Hikurangi patriotic sub-committee. With the prospect of the early lifting of the meningitis restrictions, it is anticipated that further activities will again commence with enthusiasm equal to that displayed in the past. The various ladies’ committees are to, be commended for the interest shown and for their untiring efforts in raising such a gratifying sum.
