Big Dividends From Goldburn’s Win

[Special to “Northern Advocate”] WANGANUI, This Day. Rangitikei Hack Cup winner at the Marten Jockey Club’s meeting yesterday provided a sensation by gaining a win dividend of over £l5O. The horse was Goldburn, an Aus-tralian-bred mare, who carries the colours of Mr W. T. Bailey, of Palmerston North. Only 16 win tickets and 42 place tickets at 10/- were invested on the horse. The place dividend was over £2O. Only one investor had a £1 ticket on Goldburn. This is Goldburn’s first win in 30 starts over three seasons, although she had two seconds and two thirds last season.
