Pope’s Christinas Message
VATICAN CITY, December 25,
In a Christmas message to the world the Pope .stated: “The church cannot favour any one political system rather than another, but the ‘ new order ’ must be based ... on victory over the principle that might makes right.” His Holiness also said: “I hope that those framing the peace treaty, when
the time comes, will be sufficiently mature to draw up a real new order, based' on liberty and fraternal cooperation. “I have done something for prisoners of war, including the Poles, also for Italians in Egypt and Palestine and Italian internees in Australia and elsewhere.” '
