Nearly One Inch Of Rain At Weekend
A stormy week-end in Whangarei was experienced with gusty winds and heavy showers. The total rainfall, however, totalled only 95in.—,50in. and .45in. respectively for the two days. There was a good fall of rain at Kaitaia and surrounding districts on Sunday, giving pastures which were beginning to show some effect from hot days a good boost and improving the season’s prospects from the dairy farmer’s point of view. So far the season has been wonderfully good and as far as climate and other natural conditions are concerned the farmer hasn’t got a single grouch.
