Indies Ready To Blow Up Oil Stocks If Japan Invades

A message from Bandoeng says Netherlands East Indies defences have been strengthened substantially and preparations completed for blowing up installations of Oil stocks in the event of a Japanese attack. The Army spokesman pointed out that Japan was depending cn Netherlands East Indies oil. which ■would be cut off for a long time if she attacked oil ports.

Under the newest destructive technique, the Army believes that within a matter of minutes it could make it impossible for the invader to repair installations for more than one year.
