Kaitaia Women’s Institute
Mrs Whitefield presided at the June meeting of the Kaitaia Womens Institute. A competition, conducted as part of an effort to raise funds with which to meet the expenses of the delegates to the Dominion Conference, was won by Mrs Foley. Wool with which to knit comforts for the soldiers was distributed by Mrs Bird. A table centre, given by Mrs Vazey, as a prize in a competition, was won by Mrs Richter. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Turner, Knightbridge and Foley.
