Karamea W.D.F.U. Birthday Dance

In spite of other attractions and a small crowd, an enjoyable time was spent at the local W.D.F.U.’s birthday dance, in the public hall on Friday evening. Gay-ccloured streamers and autumn blooms made a brave show. The ping-pong table was fairly well patronised, and several challenge matches were played. Towards the close of the evenig, the president, Mrs G. A. Harvey, thanked all present for their patronage. The birthday cake was cut by Mrs Harvey—everyone receiving a piece, handed round by Pam and Keith Hannam. Mrs Litt, senr., was the winner of the cake weight-guessing competition.
