Growing Strength Of Fleet Air Arm
(Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 27. Captain A. J. Power, commander of H.M.S. Ark Royal, has been appointed Assistant Chief of Naval Staffs to direct air operations. There are now in addition to the Vice-Chief (Rear-Admiral Tom Phillips), three assistant chiefs (Vice-Ad-miral Sir Geoffrey Blake, Rear-Ad-miral H. M. Burrough, whom RearAdmiral H. R. Moore is shortly replacing, and Captain Power), whose appointment js indicative of the growing strength and importance of the Fleet Air Arm.
