Whangarei And District Women’s Emergency Corps
The usual weekly home nursing class of the senior Emergency Corps was held last week at the St. John Ambulance Hall. The lecturer was Mrs E. M. Ellin, .and she gave a most instructive practical demonstration of the pasteurisation of milk, the preparation and application of foments, the cleaning of the mouth and teeth and rectal feeding. Trays were prepared by different members for temperatures, enemata, etc., and a hand lotion was prepared and sampled by all present. Arrangements were made for this week’s demonstration on bedmaking. etc.
