Remand Granted in Fake Pretences Case
Asking that Harold Richardson Kerr, 37, of no fixed abode, should be remanded until Friday, Detective J. B. Finlay told the magistrate (Mr. Ferner) in the Whangarei' Court yesterday that a number of other charges would be brought. Kerr was charged that at Hamilton he had obtained a cheque to the value of £5/15/6 by falsely representing that a cake of deodourising disinfectant was a borer exterminator. The application for a remand was granted.
