Change Has Busy Morning
[Special to “Northern Advocate”] AUCKLAND. This Day. This morning’s call at the Auckland Stock Exchange was the busiest, for a long time. Thirteen sales were recorded, oi' which values were about on a par with the previous figure. Five parcels of Australian issues changed hands, which showed that gradually overseas scrip is finding its own level again. Farmers’ Trading Company are a little lower at £l/0/7£, and subsequent quotations—par for bidders and £.l/0/B‘for holders—show that future business may also be below the figure of the previous sale, £l/1/-. Sales completed at the noon call today were: Farmers' Auctioneering (B pref.), £l/0/6; Broken Hill Pty., £2 10/3; Consolidated Brick, 9/44; Wilsons’ Cement. 19/3.
