Motor Registrations At Whangarei

Already the motor registrations department of the Whangarei Post Office is dealing with new registrations of motor vehicles. Actually, the start of registrations was a week late this year, commencing on May 6 instead of May 1. At present registrations are being made in the money order branch of the post office. Later, when the work increases to full pressure, the registrations department will shift into the offices in the new post office building, until recently occupied by the oil fuel controller. Heavier So Far. So far motor registrations have been heavier this year than they were at the beginning of May, 1939. Arrangements have been made to keep the motor registrations department .at the post office open until 5 p.m. on May 30 and until 8 p.m. on May 31. “It will be of great assistance to the staff and easier for motorists if they complete their registrations as soon as possible,” .an officer of the post office said this morning.
