Kawakawa’s Physical Welfare Committee
[Special to “Northern Advocate.”] KAWAKAWA, This Day. Kawakawa possesses an excellent Physical Welfare committee. Formed last year at the request of the Government, a number of committees in towns larger than kawakawa have failed to function, but the local committee has already achieved a considerable amount of success. ' It was largely instrumental in the raising of the necessary funds for the erection of swimming baths at the school, and it is now busily engaged collecting money to provide the town with a first-class football field. ' The town lacks a good recreation ground, and if. the committee and its supporters have the same success as previously, it will hot be long before the town will possess a good football field.
