Over 6000 Visitors At Papakura Camp

[Special to “Northern Advocate.”] AUCKLAND, This Day. Special trains were needed yesterday to cope with more than 6000 friends and relatives of soldiers of the Second Echelon units at the Papakura Camp, which was open to the public during the afternoon. The usual visiting hours are from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m., but so many people had arrived before the opening hour, that the gates were opened an hour before time. Large numbers of people from Auckland also visited the artillery emits in camp at Ngaruawahia. Yesterday a second train had to be sent south to carry the 1200 visitors who made the trip by rail.
