Pig Rates At Tangowahine
Walter Wakelin Ltd. reports having held its fortnightly sale yesterday when an entry of 400 pigs of all classes were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was keen throughout and a total clearance was effected. Quotations: Heavy baconers, £4 to £47/; medium baconers, £3 15/ to £4; light baconers, £3 7/6 to £3 12/6; choppers, £2 5/ to £4; heavy porkers, £2 14/ to £3 3/; medium porkers, £2 5/ to £2 12/6; light porkers, £1 15/ to £2 2/; stores, £1 5/ to £1 12/6; small stores and good slips, 15/ to £1 5/; weaners (Canadian Berkshires), 5/ to 13/6.
