Maungakaramea
The following parties left by special train en route for Wellington and the Exhibition. —- Mrs Harvey, Mrs Porter, senr., Mrs Teller, Miss M. Teller (Parua Bay), Mr .and Mrs F. Litt, Mr and Mrs T. Hannam, and Miss P. Crawford. Mr and Mrs John Bellfield arrived heme from the Waikato. Large working bees have been doing fine work, and the golf greens are now in perfect order for the opening on April 27. The Undenominational Church held a very happy, evening in the form of a social in the Church Hall on April 19. Mr Rive, Whangarei, was in the chair and gave a very fine .address. Musical items were given by a trio of ladies from Whangarei and Mrs Collins, Whangarei, delighted the company with humorous elocutionary items. The Rev. J. D. Jensen gave a very inspiring address. The hall was well filled. Everyone enjoyed the delicious supper supplied by the ladies.
