Services Throughout Dominion

Anzac Day services were held in all centres throughout the Dominion yesterday-. WELLINGTON. Two thousand five hundred returned soldiers assembled for the dawn parade at the Citizens’ War Memorial. The total attendance was approximately 7000. Representatives were present from practically every ex-servicemen's organisation in the Empire, together with returned soldiers from all over the Dominion. CHRISTCHURCH. The dawn parade was held in the Cathedral grounds, 500 returned soldiers and 1000 of the general public attending. Services were also held at Christ's College, the Christchurch Boys’ High School and the Roman Catholic Cathedral. The main event of the day was the parade in the afternoon of returned soldiers and men of the armed forces. DUNEDIN. A dawn parade was held at the Cenotaph. Between 1000 and 1200 people had gathered when the Governor-General (Viscount Galway) arrived. His Excellency delivered the Anzac dedication. The parade of military units and returned soldiers was one of the largest for some years. HAMILTON. The first Anzac Day dawn parade was held this year, 150 returned soldiers and 200 members of the public attending. The president of the Returned Soldiers’ Association (Mr D. L Gate) pronounced the dedication.
