Big Parade At Sydney

SYDNEY, April 25. In celebration of Anzac Day, 60,000 people attended the dawn parade at the Cenotaph. . Sydney, where the Governor of New South Wales (Lord Wakehurst) pronounced the Anzac dedication. It is officially estimated that 30,000 people took part in a march through the city. Many New Zealand ex-servicemen were among the campaigners. The streets were thronged, and there were sounds of revelry from scores of reunions. The Cenotfaph was almost screened from view by fresh blooms. The wreaths included one from the New Zealand Trade Commissioner’s office. Military reasons precluded members of the new Australian Imperial Force from marching side by side with the Anzacs.
