2176 Pakeha, Maori Recruits From Northland
European enlistments, for the Second Expeditionary Force now number 1445, while a total of 731 Maoris ‘have registered, making a grand total of 2176. Of the European total 1048 have been passed as fit and 725 have been sent to camp. < Fit men available total 242, while those available for medical examination number 186. Withdrawals total 81 Fit men in the Maori total number 343, while 224 have been sent to camp. Fit men available for despatch total 115, and 248 are awaiting medical examination. Four enlistments have been withdrawn.
