Settee Smouldering In Hotel Office
Prompt action by a boarder prevented a fire developing at the Hikurangi Hotel on Tuesday evening. Entering the office to use the telephone about 7 p.m. he smelt burning hair, and, on investigation found the settee was smouldering. The settee was carried outside the building and the fire extinguished without any difficulty.
