“Bulldog Drummond’s Bride”
“Bulldog Drummond’’ goes on his most thrilling adventure in pursuit of a daring, dangerous bank robber. His liancee of long standing, ‘’Phyllis Clavering,” threatens to marry another man. Thrill piles on thrill, but "Drummond” is led to the altar at last in the new Paramount film, "Bulldog Drummond’s Bride.” With John Howard playing "Drummond," and Heather Angel as his fiancee, the H. C. (Sapper) McNeile story tells of the famed amateur sleuth’s efforts to recover a portable radio in which the thief has secreted 10,000 pounds in stolen money. “Drummond” has inadvertently sent the radio to his fiancee, and realising that the thief will attempt to gain possession of the radio, he hurries to a small town in France where his fiancee is awaiting his arrival for their long-delayed nuptials. In a climax notable for thrills, "Drummond” attempts to capture the thief, as his fiancee pursues him in an effort to consummate their marriage. The familiar cast includes H. B. Warner, Reginald Denny, E. E. Clive, Elizabeth Patterson, and Eduardo Ciannelli. James Hogan directed.
