Patrol Activity On Western Front
LONDON, February 8. A French communique says: “There has been activity by our patrols on various parts of the front.” A German communique states: “There was increased artillery and patrol activity on the Saar front, and also increased activity by Nazi patrols generally, with a view to ascertaining the strength and positions of the Allied forces. “We repulsed enemy patrols after a hard fight.” German N.C.O. Surrenders. According to a message from Brussels, a German non-commissioned officer slipped under the barrier at the 1 frontier of Belgium and Germany and! surrendered to the Belgian police. He said that he fought in the last war, when he was wounded four times.
