Big Lift In Dominion's Export Margin

[Special to “Northern Advocate ’M AUCKLAND. This Day. Exports in December last year were £290,000 lower in value than in December, 1938. but a big fall of £1,713,000 in imports converted the previous year's December import surplus into a substantial excess of exports. The year's figures reveal an export margin of £8,622,000. as compared with £2.945,000 the previous year. These are the outstanding features of the Dominion's latest overseas trade returns, issued by the Customs Department.
