Sale Arrangements For Export Surplus Of Slipe Wool
[Special to “Northern Advocate ’ 1 WELLINGTON, This Day. The chairman of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board (Mr T. A. Duncan) said yesterday' that the arrangements made for the sale of New Zealand’s export surplus of slipe wool should be very favourably received by all farmers of the Dominion. Mr Duncan said that freezing companies and operators had up to now been handicapped in, assessing the value of wool from fat stock., when making out a schedule for the purchase of livestock.
Price In Excess of Estimate. The price now arranged for the sale of slipe wool was in excess of the estimate made in the buying schedules to date, he said. It was pleasing to note that some farmers had already been promised an additional payment on stock purchased to date. It might be expected that similar action would be adopted by other buyers throughout the Dominion on stock purchased before this announcement.
