Loan And Mercantile’s Year
LONDON, December 1
Preliminary figures issued by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., for the year ended June 30, state that the amount brought into the account was £47,127. The profit, less debenture stocks interest, was £74,526. Preference and ordinary (2 per cent) dividends require £75,000, leaving £46,653 to be carried forward. The directors attribute the decline in profits to drought and unremunerative wool prices.
