Mr. Johnson made a few remarks about a large white sow he had brought to the meeting and which was later described by Mr. H. Kneebone as being of a particularly fine type. Grading, Judging Points Mr. Kneebone next demonstrated grading and. judging points. After the luncheon adjournment, Miss R. C. Johnson demonstrated the points of the Jersey breed, particularly commending a. mature bull in Mr. Gubb’s stud.

Diseases in pigs and cattle were dealt with in a most interesting manner by the Government veterinarian of Whangarei (Mr. T. H. Hanking Using terms which could be easily understood, Mr. Hankin imparted much valuable information and answered a large number of questions. Appreciation to the visitors was cxpressed by Messrs Henderson and Ellis, who also paid a tribute to the work being done on behalf of the farmers by the A.F.F.C. Mr. Garland replied. Appealing to all interested to join the Jersey Club. Mr. Ellis .announced that the Whangarei Club had extended an invitation to local members to visit Whangarei at a later date.
