Germany’s Twofold Policy In Poland
(Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, November 28. “The Times” special correspondent at Riga says that an authoritative Berlin statement explains that the German policy in Poland is two-fold. It is aimed, firstly, at a reduction of the Foies to subservience. Secondly, at the promotion of, German prosperity. Collaboration with the Poles, it declares, must not even be attempted, nor must any idea of equal rights for German Poles be entertained for a moment. If a German peasant and a Polish magnate are neighbours, the peasant’s duty is to show that he is above the magnate. Poles must everywhere be segregated and socially isolated.
