Mr Winston Churchill First Lord of the Admiralty, in a recruiting message, said there would be no peace until Prussian militarism urns pulverised and the truculent German abased.

In New Zealand, only 69 persons set up objections to military service on religious grounds. The Minister of Defence presented to the House a paper containing the suggestions of local bodies as to how religious and conscientious objectors could render alternative service.
