HOURLY NEWS OF APPALLING NAZI TERROR
LONDON, .September 4. r fHE WARSAW CORRESPONDENT OF “THE TIMES” SAYS NEWS IS COMING IN HOURLY OF APPALLING GERMAN TERROR.
The invaders from the East Prussian front are reported to be taking off women and children wholesale as hostages to East Prussia.
Danzigers of Polish blood who were unable to escape are reported to have been similarly removed.
A German air raid with incendiary bombs demolished the village of ('hiemluch. near Tarnow, killing many inhabitants. y
Later messages from Warsaw say the capital suffered further air raids from 70 German aeroplanes, while fiajnes from the buildings set on fire by the earlier attacks were lighting up the evening sky.
Anti-aircraft guns scattered the oncoming aeroplanes, three of which power-dived and bombed from a low altitude.
The streets are deep with broken glass from shattered windows.
Already 24 German aifmen are imprisoned in a suburb of Warsaw. About 12 of them are suffering from head wounds resulting from parachute jumps.
Owing to the repeated bombing of Warsaw, it is reported that the Polish Government may move to new headquarters, states a Daventry broadcast.
