[Special to “Northern Advocate"! AUCKLAND, Saturday.

Roy Lu finished up useful work by covering his last three furlongs in 41 seconds, and Bisquit did a similar task in 43 2-5 seconds. He was under restraint throughout.

Tutor finished several lengths ahead of Whenua at the conclusion of six furlongs in 1.22 1-5, the last half-mile taking 56 1-5 seconds. It was a good workout and Tutor's effort was a pleasing one.
