Another Socialist Party

r Per Press Association. Copyright,] HASTINGS. This Day. The chief organiser, Mr E. H. Dailey, said that the name of the newly-organ-ised political party was the Socialist Educational Political Party, and its chief objective was the formation of a democratic movement to educate the people socially, politically and economically, and to secure for the people the full results of their labour by constitutional Parliamentary methods.

The first official meeting of the organisation was held on Saturday.

Among the matters discussed at the meeting was the visit abroad of the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash and the report of the meeting states chat Mr Nash’s visit to moneylenders abroad is considered contrary to the mandate as given by the electors at the last general election..

Objection is taken to the secret methods employed by the Government. It was considered they should lake the people into their confidence and there should be nothing to hide.
