A feature of the close-fitting bodice, which buttoned to below the waistline, was a strip of beading, coming from across the sleeves and joining it extended down the entire front of the frock. The full skirt ended in a long oval train. She carried a sheaf of lilies. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Bea Sterling, and her niece. Miss Edna Parker, dressed respectively in daffodil and lilac chiffon over taffeta, with swathed bodices and very full skirts. On their heads they wore shoulder length veils over top knots of flowers and they carried mulls in the same shade as their frocks.
