Clearing Sale Held At Waiotira

Walter Wakelin reports a highly successful clearing sale on account of Mr G. F. L. Cubitt, at Waiotira yesterday. The herd of cows which came forward in good condition sold readily to a full bench of buyers. Best quality cows, close to calving, realised from £lO to £l4; backward cows sold from £6 to £9; yearling Jersey heifers, £5 1/-; pedigree Jersey bull (six years old), 10. 1 , guineas; springing jersey heifers, £7 12/6. Implements, sundries, etc., also sold well.

Springing cows on account of other clients sold from £2 10/- to £7 10/-; small yearling heifers, £2 10/-. A stack of loose hay realised £l7. The advertised milking machine, separator .and engine also changed hands, making a total clearance.
