New Hospital For Whangaroa?

Plans for the provision of a new hospital for Whangaroa county ware considered by Dr. R. A. Shore. Director of the Division of Hospitals, He'alth Department, Wellington, when ho visited Northland a few days ago. In company with Dr. C. B. Gilbcrd. District Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Shore made a tour of all Northland country hospitals. Dr. Shore met the members of the Whangaroa Hospital Board, and with them, discussed possible extensions to the existing hospital, and the proposed erection of a now institution at either Whangaroa or Kaeo, at both of which centres sites are available. It was realised that more modern Ihoapifal provisions were necessary for the area, said Dr. Shore. The pros and cons of the two sites were discussed, and it was left for the board to make further inquiries. Kawakawa And Kawene.
