Bull - Buckley

On June 10 a pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Columbia Church, Surrey Crescent, Grey Lynn, by the Rev. Godfrey, when Ivy Mary, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Buckley, of Auckland, was married to Reginald George, only son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Bull, Paparoa. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of the palest pink satin, with full sleeves and shirred shoulders. Tiny buttons formed a trimming from the heart-shaped neckline to the waistline, from where the full skirt fell away forming a grace ful train. A tulle veil was held in place by a topknot of natural flowers.

The bride’s bouquet was of roses and chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern.

The bridesmaids, Miss Joyce Buckley and Miss Mary Bull, wore contrasting frocks of pale green and apricot chiffon with topknots and bouquets to match.

The reception was held at the Domain Tea Kiosk, where the guests were received by Mrs Buckley, the bride’s .mother, who wore a grey squirrel fur ccat over a wine coloured frock with hat and posy to tone. Mrs Bull, mother of the bridegroom, wore mulberry coloured dress, wit hhat and posy to tone. The newly-married couple left later by car, the bride wearing a steel blue costume, with accessories to match. Their future home will be in Mareretu.
