Ajax’s PartOwner Dead

MELBOURNE, July 14,
The death has occurred of Mr Edward Lloyd Baillieu, aged 70, partowner of the racehorse Ajax. He was one of six brothers with wide business interests in Australia and London. Mr Baillieu was a member of the London Stock Exchange and a prominent figure on the Australian turf. He won the Melbourne Cup in 1924 with Backwood.
