Motorist Drowned When Car Falls Into River
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] GISBORNE, This Day.
A motor car fell into the Tahaenui River, near, Nuhaka, on Thursday night, and Mr Herbert Neil Galbraith, single, aged about 40, manager of the wool department of the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., Hastings, was drownedi - Apparently, no one saw the accident, but judging from the marks on the road, the car failed to negotiate the bridge, and crossed over the bank, striking some distance below the road and rollinw 20 feet into the river.
