Good Clearance At Ruakaka Sale
Walter Wakelin reports having held his usual monthly sale at Ruakaka on Thursday, when a good entry met with excellent competition. The dairy yarding comprised inferior cattle. Boner cattle sold well, as did also pigs and hoggets. Quotations: Springing cows, £4 15/; springing heifers, £5 10/; fat Jersey cows, to £5; forward conditioned cows, to £3 10/; boner cows, £1 10/ to £2 15/; potter cows, 10/ to £1 5/; light boner bulls, £2 10/ to £3 10/; m.s. yearlings, to £1 5/; small Jersey heifer calves, £1 10/. Weaner pigs, £1; m.s. hoggets, 6/6.
