Fisher Defeats Wright In Boxing Bout
[Per Press Association. Copyright .] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A professional boxing match last night between Norman Fisher (Christchurch) and Ken Wright (Tim«ru), each 10.1,' lasted for only three rounds. A cut over Wright’s right eye caused the doctors to stop the bout. Fisher had been ahead on points at that stage, in a fast and bright exhibition. The sudden ending was not popular with a section of the crowd, who shouted its disapproval of the shortness of the programme.
