Puma Club Wins Over Mangakahia
A team from the Puma Club played a match with Mangakahia on the latter's links at Parakao. The homo men’s team was not at full strength, and consequently the visitors had an easy win by eight matches to three in the modal round, and five to one in the foursomes. The Mangakahia ladies were the best on the day, winning by 1 up in the medal round and 3 up in the foursome:-’. Details, with Puma names first: — Ladies: Mrs Irvine beat Mrs R. Alison, 5 and 4. Ladies' Foursomes: Mrs Irvine and Mrs McKay lost to Mrs Pollock and Miss Mansen; Mrs Finlayson and Mrs Frood lost to Mrs Hunter and Mrs Coxhead: Mrs Stifle and Mrs Bestic lost to Mrs Alison and Mrs Grantham.
