Week-End Rugby League Trial Game
The first Rugby League A and B trial to select the Northland team to meet Taranaki at Cax’law Park next month, will be played at''} Hikurangi on Sunday afternoon, commencing at 3 o’clock.
Athough teams have been selected, all players not mentioned are asked to attend, land to bring their playing gear, as all attending will be assured of a game. The teams are;
A Team. Full-back, C, Child (City); three-quarters, R. Lewis (Kamo), R. Hamilton (Hikurangi), K Pickex'ell (Hikux’angi); five-eighths, C. Hamilton (Hikurangi), C. Rainbird (Hikurangi), Thompson (Portland); half-back, T. Tautiai’i (Kamo). Forwards: Front row, V. Payne (City), Crump (City), H. Pirihi (Portland), McConnell (Hikux-angi); second row, A. Laird (Hikurangi), Hirtzell (City); back row, J. Harris (Hikux’angi). B Team. Full-back, G, Mackie (Portland); three-quarters, B. Stringfellow (Hikurangi), D. Parkes (City), T. Toki (Kamo); five-eighths, W. Murray (City), C. Jones (Kamo), F. Hollows (City); half-back. F. Bradley (City). Forwax’ds: Front row, G. Pitman (Hikurangi), Finlayson (Kamo), Tooth (Portland), McMify lan (Kamo); second row, L. Payne (City), R. Paki (Portland); third row, E, Pickrang (City).
