Driver’s Escape When Logs Hurtle Through Cab

The gears failed to mesh on a large truck and trailer driven by Mr F. Hill, and, gathering speed, the vehicle rushed down Valley Road. Swerving to avoid a cyclist the truck crashed off the road into a section.
The broke through the back of the cab, narrowly missing' the driver whose shirt was torn by one of the cannoning logs. The truck is considerably damaged.
