Is It A Clue?
[Special to ''Northern Advocate ”] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
A fragment of a human skull was recently found on the beach at Goose Bay, some miles north of Claverley, and the police think that it may be a clue to the fate of Mrs Harriet Jane Patience, aged 60, who disappeared on October 4 from a Public Works camp at Claverley, where her husband was employed.
An intensive search of the area was carried out by the police at the time, but no trace of the missing woman was found.
The skull has been submitted to the pathologist at the Christchurch Public Hospital for expert examination.
• The pathologist’s report is not yet available.
