It is feared that the French freighter St. Prosper, which left Algiers on March 6 for Marseilles, was sunk in a storm, and that the crew of 33 men were drowned. Wreckage of a lifeboat and a lifebelt marked with the ship’s name was washed up on the beach at Tencs.
