State Coal Mines Still Idle
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] GREYMOUTH, This Day.
The James and Strongman State coal mines were again idle yesterday. The Liverpool mine was worked. A meeting of the State Miners’ Union will be held on Sunday morning to discuss the situation which has arisen over the issue of tokens to the men engaged in the Strongman colliery, and there is a possibility of the mines resuming on Monday pending the outcome of a proposed conference next week.
