P. W. M. U.
Tho P.W.M.U. held the opening meeting for the year 1939 in the Presbyterian. Hall on March 14. The attendance of 65 members was inspiring. The president, Mrs Elliott, welcomed all present and briefly addressed tho meeting about the work in view for the year. Solos were sung by Mesdames McLean and Dennis and M.ss McMillan. A bouquet was presented to Mrs Cowan and an opportunity given to friends to bid her farewell on her departure for Auckland. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses for the meeting.
